Contract Type: Travel Contract

Shift Type: 12-hour shifts: 6:30 AM - 6:30 PM or 6:30 PM - 6:30 AM, every other weekend, minimum 2 holidays per contract

Hours per Week: 36

Candidate Pay Rate: $64 per hour

Roles & Responsibilities

Provide direct patient care in a 33-bed ICU with a 1:2-3 nurse-to-patient ratio
Manage and titrate cardiac drips, insulin, and sedation
Monitor and interpret telemetry strips and GE monitor data
Collaborate with interdisciplinary team including respiratory therapy and nursing aides
Float to PCU and MedSurg as needed (1:4-5 ratio)
Participate in self-scheduling and orientation shifts

Qualifications

Active RN license in Nebraska or compact state
BLS, ACLS, and NIHSS certifications required upon start
Minimum 1 year of recent ICU experience
Driver's license required
Ability to pass open-book skills exam with 90% on orientation Wednesday
Must adhere to fingernail policy (no artificial nails)

Knowledge & Skills

Knowledge of titratable drips (cardiac, insulin, sedation)
Ability to interpret telemetry strips
Experience with ventilator management
Trauma and stroke patient care
Strong communication and teamwork skills
