Contract Type: Travel Contract

Shift Type: 12-hour shifts, 7:00 AM - 7:00 PM or 7:00 PM - 7:00 AM, rotating days and nights, including weekends and holidays

Hours per Week: 36

Candidate Pay Rate: $64 per hour

Roles & Responsibilities

Provide comprehensive nursing care to critically ill patients in a dynamic float pool across multiple ICUs (MICU, SICU, TICU, CVICU).
Titrate and manage critical drips including pressors, sedation, paralytics, antiarrhythmics, heparin, and insulin.
Independently monitor and interpret telemetry strips without monitor tech support.
Collaborate with interdisciplinary team to deliver high-acuity care with nurse-to-patient ratios of 1:1-2, flexing up to 1:3 as needed.
Float to different facilities within Zone 3 covering a 60-mile radius from Denver city center.

Qualifications

Minimum 2 years of recent ICU experience (3+ years for first-time travelers).
Active RN license in Colorado or compact license (NLC).
Current BLS, ACLS, and NIHSS certifications.
Strong critical care skills including titration of vasoactive drips.
Previous travel experience and Epic proficiency highly preferred.

Knowledge & Skills

Proficient in titrating critical drips such as pressors, sedation, and antiarrhythmics.
Skilled in telemetry interpretation and independent rhythm recognition.
Comfortable floating to various ICU settings and adapting to different facility protocols.
Strong communication and teamwork abilities in a fast-paced environment.
