Shift Type: 12-hour shifts, 7:00 AM - 7:00 PM or 7:00 PM - 7:00 AM (rotating days/nights), schedule released 4-6 weeks in advance; weekend rotation (6-9 weekend shifts per 6-week schedule); holiday rotation may apply.

Roles & Responsibilities

• Provide expert critical care to patients in a combined MICU, SICU, TICU, and CVICU setting
• Serve as Charge Nurse, leading the unit, responding to codes and rapid responses
• Titrate critical drips including pressors, sedatives, paralytics, and antiarrhythmics
• Interpret telemetry rhythms independently without monitor tech support
• Float across multiple facilities within Zone 3 (Denver metro area) as needed
• Manage 1:1-2 patient ratios, with ability to flex up to 1:3 based on acuity
• Assist with respiratory needs including vents, CPAP, BiPAP, and high-flow oxygen

Qualifications

• Minimum 2 years of recent ICU experience required; 3+ years preferred for first-time travelers
• Prior Charge Nurse experience required
• Active and unencumbered RN license (compact license accepted)
• BLS, ACLS, NIHSS, and TNCC certifications required
• Experience with Epic EMR preferred
• Comfortable titrating all critical drips
• Willingness to float within a 60-mile radius and work a variety of shifts

Knowledge & Skills

• Expertise in ICU nursing: titrating drips, managing ventilators, and telemetry interpretation
• Strong leadership and decision-making skills for charge nurse role
• Ability to adapt quickly to different facility protocols and teams
• Excellent communication and teamwork skills
• Proficient in Epic charting system
