Shift Type: Rotating 12-hour shifts, 7:00 AM - 7:00 PM or 7:00 PM - 7:00 AM, including weekends and holidays as scheduled (6-9 weekend shifts per 6-week schedule)

Candidate Pay Rate: $64 per hour

Roles & Responsibilities

• Provide expert nursing care in a dynamic ICU float pool, titrating critical drips and managing high-acuity patients
• Serve as Charge Nurse, coordinating patient assignments and responding to codes and rapid responses
• Float across multiple ICUs (MICU, SICU, TICU, CVICU) and potentially to PCU/Stepdown/MS-Tele as needed
• Interpret telemetry strips and manage respiratory support including vents, BiPAP, and high-flow oxygen
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to ensure safe, quality care in a fast-paced environment
• Adapt to changing assignments and patient needs across a 60-mile zone within Denver region

Qualifications

• At least 2 years of ICU experience required; 3+ years for first-time travelers
• Prior Charge Nurse experience is a must
• BLS, ACLS, NIHSS, and TNCC certifications required
• Epic experience required (especially for first-time travelers)
• Comfort with titrating all critical drips (pressors, sedation, paralytics, etc.)
• Ability to float to different facilities within Zone 3 (60-mile radius from Denver)
• Travel nursing experience preferred but not required

Knowledge & Skills

• Critical drip titration and management of complex medications
• Telemetry interpretation and recognition of arrhythmias
• Respiratory support including vents, BiPAP, CPAP, and high-flow oxygen
• Code response and rapid response leadership
• Strong communication and flexibility in a floating role
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team
