Contract Type: Travel Contract

Shift Type: 12-hour shifts, every other weekend, every other holiday

Hours per Week: 36

Candidate Pay Rate: $64 per hour

Roles & Responsibilities

Provide high-quality emergency nursing care to patients across multiple ER facilities within Zone 4
Float between Bob Wilson Memorial Hospital, St. Catherine-Dodge City, and St. Catherine-Garden City as assigned
Monitor and interpret telemetry strips, perform point-of-care lab testing, and administer standard ER medications
Collaborate with charge nurses, techs, and mid-level providers to manage patient flow and acuity
Maintain a 1:4-5 nurse-to-patient ratio based on acuity levels
Ensure compliance with trauma, STEMI, and stroke protocols for appropriate patient transfers

Qualifications

Valid RN license in Kansas or compact state
Minimum 1 year of recent ER experience preferred
Ability to float within a 60-mile radius zone
Comfortable working in a fast-paced, multi-site environment

Knowledge & Skills

Expertise in emergency nursing, including trauma care and telemetry monitoring
Proficient in ACLS, BLS, PALS, NIHSS, and TNCC certifications
Strong assessment and critical thinking skills for diverse patient populations
Ability to adapt to varying unit sizes and resources
