Contract Type: Travel Contract

Shift Type: 12-hour shifts, days or nights, with rotating weekends and holidays

Hours per Week: 36

Candidate Pay Rate: $60 per hour

Roles & Responsibilities

Provide exceptional emergency nursing care to a diverse patient population in a Level 1 Trauma Center
Float between multiple ER locations including St. Joseph's Main and Westgate campuses
Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team of physicians, midlevels, and support staff
Manage patients with acute conditions including trauma, burns, and psychiatric holds
Maintain sterile field during procedures like central line dressing changes and Foley catheter insertion
Monitor telemetry strips and respond to cardiac events
Participate in pass/fail SIMs lab to demonstrate competency in critical skills

Qualifications

At least 6 months of Level 1 Trauma experience required
Minimum 2 years of ER nursing experience
Active Arizona RN license or compact license
Current BLS, ACLS, and PALS certifications
TNCC and ATCN certifications preferred
Willingness to float between 4 facilities within a 30-minute radius
Must pass DYS exam and SIMs lab on day one

Knowledge & Skills

Strong emergency and trauma nursing skills
Proficiency in telemetry monitoring and interpretation
Experience with Cerner EMR
Excellent sterile technique and procedural skills
Effective communication and teamwork abilities
Adaptability to fast-paced, high-acuity environments
