Contract Type: Travel Contract

Shift Type: 12-hour shifts, days and nights available; 4 weekend shifts per month

Hours per Week: 36

Candidate Pay Rate: $60 per hour

Roles & Responsibilities

Provide exceptional care in a fast-paced Level 1 Trauma Center ED
Float between four facilities (main campus, Westgate, and two freestanding ERs) as needed
Manage acute and subacute patients with a 1:4 nurse-to-patient ratio
Collaborate with a team of physicians, midlevels, and support staff
Perform telemetry strip reading and respond to critical changes
Participate in SIMs lab to demonstrate competency in Foley catheter insertion and port-a-cath insertion

Qualifications

At least 6 months of Level 1 Trauma experience required
Minimum 2 years of ER nursing experience
Active RN license in Arizona or compact state
BLS, ACLS, and PALS certifications required
TNCC and ATCN preferred
Must pass DYS exam prior to accepting assignment
Comfortable with floating and travel between facilities

Knowledge & Skills

Strong ER and trauma assessment skills
Proficient in telemetry strip reading
Experience with Cerner EMR
Ability to work in a high-volume ED (250-300 patients/day)
Excellent communication and teamwork skills
