Contract Type: Travel Contract

Shift Type: 12-hour day/night rotation, 7:00 AM - 7:00 PM and 7:00 PM - 7:00 AM, every other weekend and holiday

Hours per Week: 36

Candidate Pay Rate: $61 per hour

Roles & Responsibilities

Provide comprehensive nursing care to patients in the Emergency Department and MedSurg Swing unit
Manage acute care, swing bed, and emergency patients with a 1:4 ratio (acute) or 1:6 (swing)
Titrate drips and read telemetry strips as required
Float to ED holds and act as charge nurse when needed
Collaborate with interdisciplinary team for optimal patient outcomes
Ensure patient safety and quality care in a fast-paced environment

Qualifications

Current RN license in North Dakota or compact state
Minimum of 1 year MedSurg experience required
Must not have worked as perm or PRN at CHI St. Alexius Health Garrison within the last 12 months
Ability to work every other weekend and holiday
Flexibility to rotate between day and night shifts

Knowledge & Skills

Proficient in BLS and ACLS
Experience with titratable drips and telemetry interpretation
Knowledge of NEBS, oxygen delivery methods, and CPAP/BiPap
Strong critical thinking and decision-making skills
Ability to float and adapt to varying patient acuity
