Roles & Responsibilities

• Provide high-acuity critical care to post-cardiac surgery patients, including CABG, TAVR, and heart/lung transplants
• Manage advanced hemodynamic monitoring devices such as IABP, CRRT, and ECMO
• Perform bedside procedures including bronchoscopy, Swan-Ganz catheter placement, and epidural management
• Collaborate with intensivists, pharmacists, and respiratory therapists for optimal patient outcomes
• Maintain sterile field during central line dressing changes and Foley catheter insertions
• Float to other ICUs and Tele units as needed, ensuring seamless patient care

Qualifications

• Must have Level I Trauma experience
• Active RN license in Arizona or compact state
• BLS and ACLS certifications required; CCRN preferred
• Minimum 2 years of ICU experience; CVICU experience highly preferred
• Strong IV skills and ability to pass dysrhythmia exam
• Comfortable with sterile technique and pass/fail SIMs lab on day one

Knowledge & Skills

• Proficient in Cerner EMR and Philips Telemetry
• Experienced in managing IABP, CRRT, and ECMO therapies
• Excellent critical thinking and patient assessment abilities
• Strong communication skills for collaboration with multidisciplinary team
• Ability to adapt to high-acuity, fast-paced environment
