Occupational Therapist - Inpatient Acute

Location: Kealakekua, Hawaii

Start Date: 05-18-2026

End Date: 11-16-2026

Contract Type: Travel Contract

Shift Type: Dayshift, 36-40 hours per week with flexibility, split between Kona Community Hospital (3 days/week) and Kohala Hospital (2 days/week or vice versa), includes 1 weekend day

Candidate Pay Rate: $60 per hour

Roles & Responsibilities

Deliver compassionate occupational therapy to inpatient acute patients, helping them regain independence
Collaborate across Kona Community Hospital and Kohala Hospital to provide seamless care
Adapt treatments with flexibility to meet diverse patient needs
Make a real difference in the lives of patients on the Big Island

Qualifications

Active Occupational Therapist license
Experience in inpatient acute settings
Proficiency with Epic systems (must pass Epic test)
Commitment to flexible scheduling including some weekends

Education

Master's or Doctorate degree in Occupational Therapy
NBCOT certification

Knowledge & Skills

Expertise in occupational therapy techniques
Epic electronic health records system
Strong patient assessment and treatment planning
Adaptability across multiple facilities
