Location: Santa Maria, California

End Date: 09-16-2026

Contract Type: Contract

Shift Type: Monday-Friday, 8:00 AM - 5:00 PM, with every 3rd weekend rotation

Hours per Week: 40

Candidate Pay Rate: $57 per hour

Roles & Responsibilities

Provide occupational therapy services to patients in their homes, promoting independence and quality of life
Develop and implement individualized treatment plans based on patient assessments and goals
Collaborate with interdisciplinary team including PTs, SLPs, and home health aides
Complete OASIS documentation accurately and timely to ensure regulatory compliance
Educate patients and families on adaptive techniques and equipment for daily living
Monitor patient progress and adjust interventions as needed to achieve optimal outcomes

Qualifications

Active Occupational Therapist license in California
Minimum of one year of experience as an OT, with home health experience preferred
Valid BLS certification from the American Heart Association
Experience with OASIS documentation (government mandated form) required
Strong communication and interpersonal skills to build rapport with patients and families

Education

Master's degree in Occupational Therapy from an accredited program

Knowledge & Skills

Proficient in Cerner EMR system
Knowledge of home health regulations and documentation standards
Ability to assess and treat orthopedic, stroke, joint, and spinal injury patients
Excellent time management and organizational skills
Comfortable working independently in a home care setting
