Roles & Responsibilities

• Provide compassionate, patient-centered care on a busy Med/Surg unit
• Perform thorough assessments and create clear, actionable care plans
• Administer medications and treatments safely and accurately
• Collaborate with physicians, therapists, and the care team to deliver excellent outcomes
• Educate patients and families to promote recovery and prevent readmission
• Document care in the EHR accurately and in a timely manner
• Recognize and escalate changes in patient condition to maintain safety

Qualifications

• Current RN license in Texas (required)
• BLS (Basic Life Support) required; ACLS/PALS a plus
• Minimum 1 year of recent Med/Surg clinical experience preferred
• Current CPR certification
• Ability to pass background check and drug screening
• Strong teamwork, communication, and patient advocacy skills

Education

• Associate Degree in Nursing (ADN) or Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN)

Knowledge & Skills

• Solid knowledge of Med/Surg nursing principles and standards
• Comfortable with IV medications, wound care, and post-op management
• Skilled in patient assessment, triage, and prioritization
• Proficient with electronic health record (EHR) documentation
• Good clinical judgment, critical thinking, and time management
