Roles & Responsibilities

• Provide compassionate, hands-on personal care to residents, including assistance with activities of daily living
• Observe and document resident condition and behavior accurately and promptly
• Support safe transfers, mobility, and positioning while promoting resident dignity
• Assist nursing team with timely meals, hygiene, and comfort measures
• Communicate effectively with residents, families, and the care team to ensure continuity of care
• Contribute to a clean, safe, and respectful environment by following infection control and facility policies

Qualifications

• Current Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) certification required
• Ability to work a schedule that supports a 40-hour guarantee per week
• Valid state-required immunizations and health screening as per facility policy
• Excellent communication and teamwork skills to collaborate with nurses and care staff
• Previous experience in long-term care, skilled nursing, or similar settings preferred
• CPR/BLS certification preferred or willingness to obtain quickly

Education

• High school diploma or equivalent
• Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) certification

Knowledge & Skills

• Strong knowledge of resident care and activities of daily living
• Skilled in safe patient handling and mobility assistance
• Accurate documentation and charting practices
• Basic infection control and safety protocols
• Compassionate bedside manner and de-escalation techniques
• Ability to follow care plans and take direction from nursing staff
