Roles & Responsibilities
- Provide comprehensive 24-hour cardiothoracic surgery coverage at a busy regional hospital
- Perform CABG, valve procedures, and thoracic surgeries for a Level 2 trauma center
- Respond promptly to surgical emergencies and trauma cases as needed
- Collaborate with the hospital's multidisciplinary team to deliver exceptional patient outcomes
- Maintain accurate documentation in the Epic EMR system
Qualifications
- Board Certification in Cardiovascular or Cardiothoracic Surgery required
- Active state license highly preferred; IMLC accepted
- Current ACLS, BLS, and DEA certifications required
- Clean malpractice history strongly preferred
- Willingness to cover cardiac and thoracic cases essential
Knowledge & Skills
- Expertise in CABG and valve surgery techniques
- Strong thoracic surgery capabilities
- Comfort managing Level 2 trauma cases
- Proficiency with Epic EMR documentation
- Excellent communication and teamwork abilities
