Roles & Responsibilities

• Assess and triage patients quickly and accurately in a busy emergency setting
• Provide skilled nursing care across the Main ED, Fast Track, and Observation areas
• Administer medications, start IVs, and perform advanced life support interventions as needed
• Rotate through triage, quick registration, COVID tent, and entry screening assignments
• Support public health efforts by assisting with COVID testing and immunization clinics when needed
• Collaborate with physicians, advanced practice providers, and interdisciplinary team members for excellent patient outcomes
• Maintain clear, timely documentation and follow infection control and safety protocols

Qualifications

• Current, active RN license (eligible to practice in Arizona)
• Minimum of 2 years recent RN experience in Emergency Department or comparable acute care specialty
• American Heart Association BLS required
• ACLS and PALS required (ENPC or TNCC accepted where applicable)
• Conscious sedation certification required (facility can provide after hire with a $105 fee)
• Comfortable floating to other qualified departments and adapting to changing assignments
• Strong clinical judgment, excellent communication skills, and teamwork mindset

Education

• Active RN license in Arizona
• ADN or BSN required; BSN preferred

Knowledge & Skills

• Emergency nursing assessment and triage protocols
• Trauma and acute care stabilization skills
• IV therapy, medication administration, and ACLS/PALS algorithms
• Experience with fast-paced patient flow and observation units
• EHR documentation and time-sensitive charting
• Infection prevention, PPE use, and COVID testing workflows
• Patient and family education with cultural sensitivity
