Roles & Responsibilities
- Provide compassionate, hands-on nursing care to residents and patients
- Administer medications and treatments safely and per facility protocols
- Perform patient assessments and report changes in condition promptly
- Document care accurately and timely in the patient record
- Collaborate with nurses, providers, and support staff to deliver coordinated care
- Support patient and family education to promote understanding and recovery
- Adhere to infection control, safety, and quality standards at all times
Qualifications
- Active Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) license — New Mexico (required)
- Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification preferred
- Comfortable working independently in per-diem assignments and adapting to varying schedules
- Strong communication skills and a patient-centered mindset
- Previous LPN experience in a long-term care or clinical setting is a plus
Education
- Vocational Nursing diploma or completion of an accredited LPN program
Knowledge & Skills
- Medication administration and basic clinical assessments
- Wound care and basic treatment procedures
- Accurate charting and familiarity with electronic health records
- Infection control practices and adherence to safety protocols
- Team collaboration and clear communication with multidisciplinary staff
