Shift Type: Per diem (variable days), 3:00 PM - 11:00 PM, evening shift
Hours per Week: 40
Candidate Pay Rate: $22 per hour

Roles & Responsibilities
- Provide compassionate direct care to geriatric residents, focusing on dignity and comfort
- Assist with activities of daily living including bathing, dressing, and toileting
- Monitor resident condition and communicate changes promptly to nursing staff
- Support mobility and safe transfers, using proper body mechanics and assistive devices
- Help create a warm, home-like environment that promotes resident well-being
- Document care accurately and follow facility policies and procedures
- Collaborate with the care team to meet individualized care plans and goals
Qualifications
- GNA certification required
- Prior experience in geriatric or long-term care preferred but willing to train confident, caring candidates
- Current basic life support (BLS/CPR) is preferred or willing to obtain
- Must be able to pass background checks and required health screenings
- Strong communication skills and a patient, respectful approach with residents and families
- Ability to lift and assist residents safely following facility protocols
Education
- High school diploma or equivalent
- GNA certification (required)
Knowledge & Skills
- Knowledge of basic nursing assistant duties and geriatric care needs
- Familiarity with infection control practices and safe hygiene techniques
- Comfortable performing ADLs and supporting mobility
- Good observation skills to notice and report changes in resident condition
- Teamwork and time management in a busy care setting
- Compassionate bedside manner and strong interpersonal skills
