Roles & Responsibilities
- Assist residents with activities of daily living (bathing, dressing, grooming) with dignity and respect
- Support mobility and safe transfers while promoting independence
- Monitor basic vital signs and report changes to the nursing team promptly
- Document care accurately and clearly to keep the care team informed
- Provide compassionate companionship and emotional support to residents
- Maintain a clean, safe environment and follow infection control practices
- Communicate effectively with team members and families to coordinate care
Qualifications
- Current GNA certification (role class listed as GNA)
- Comfort working with geriatric populations and long-term care residents
- Ability to work per diem shifts, including daytime availability (7:00 AM - 3:00 PM)
- Reliable, caring, and team-oriented attitude
Education
- High school diploma or equivalent preferred
- Completion of an accredited GNA training program
Knowledge & Skills
- Basic hands-on patient care and assistance with ADLs
- Monitoring and reporting changes in resident condition
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Familiarity with infection prevention and safe patient handling
- Dependable documentation and time-management skills
