Roles & Responsibilities

• Provide compassionate hands-on care to residents, assisting with activities of daily living
• Take and accurately record vital signs and report changes to nursing staff
• Assist with mobility, transfers, and safe use of equipment to keep residents safe
• Support meal and hydration needs while monitoring intake and any special diets
• Maintain clear, timely documentation in resident charts and care plans
• Follow infection control protocols and maintain a clean, comfortable environment
• Communicate respectfully with residents, families, and interdisciplinary team members
• Participate in shift handoffs and contribute to a positive team culture

Qualifications

• Current Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) certification in Pennsylvania
• Completion of an approved CNA training program
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification preferred or willing to obtain
• Ability to pass background check and any required health screenings or immunizations
• Comfortable with physical aspects of the role including lifting and mobility assistance
• Strong communication skills and a caring, patient-focused attitude

Education

• High school diploma or GED; completion of state-approved CNA training program

• Fundamental nursing care and resident assistance
• Accurate vital signs measurement and documentation
• Infection prevention and control practices
• Safe resident transfers and mobility support
• Basic charting and electronic or paper documentation
• Effective communication with residents and healthcare team
• Time management and prioritization during busy shifts
