Roles & Responsibilities

• Provide compassionate, hands-on care to residents and patients with dignity and respect
• Assist with activities of daily living including bathing, dressing, grooming, and mobility
• Take and record vital signs and report any changes to the nursing team promptly
• Support safe transfers and positioning to promote comfort and prevent injury
• Maintain a clean, safe environment and follow infection control protocols
• Communicate clearly with patients, families, and interdisciplinary team members
• Document care accurately and timely in the patient record

Qualifications

• Valid CNA certification (Certified Nursing Assistant) — required
• Current Basic Life Support (BLS/CPR) certification preferred or willing to obtain
• State-required clearances and immunizations as applicable
• Compassionate bedside manner and strong communication skills
• Ability to perform physical aspects of the role including lifting and assisting patients
• Previous experience in long-term care or similar settings is a plus

Education

• High school diploma or equivalent
• Completion of an accredited CNA program and active CNA certification

Knowledge & Skills

• Knowledge of activities of daily living (ADLs) and basic nursing assistance
• Ability to take and record vital signs accurately
• Familiarity with infection prevention and patient safety principles
• Strong observational skills and ability to escalate changes in condition
• Good documentation habits and basic computer/EMR comfort
• Teamwork, reliability, and a positive attitude
