Roles & Responsibilities
- Provide compassionate, hands-on personal care to residents and patients
- Assist with activities of daily living (bathing, dressing, toileting, feeding)
- Take and record vital signs and report changes in condition to the nursing team
- Support mobility and safe transfers while following facility safety protocols
- Document resident care accurately and communicate effectively with team members
- Help create a warm, dignified environment that promotes comfort and respect
Qualifications
- Current CNA certification or license (required) — must meet Pennsylvania requirements
- Comfortable working the 3:00 PM - 11:00 PM per-diem shift
- Ability to perform patient care tasks, including lifting and assisting with mobility
- Strong communication skills and a team-first attitude
- Current basic life support (BLS/CPR) preferred where applicable
Education
- High school diploma or equivalent preferred
- Completed and active CNA program/certification
Knowledge & Skills
- Basic patient care and activities of daily living (ADLs)
- Measuring and recording vital signs accurately
- Infection control and hand hygiene best practices
- Clear, compassionate communication with patients and team members
- Accurate documentation and attention to detail
- Ability to follow care plans and safety protocols
