Roles & Responsibilities

• Provide compassionate, high-quality nursing care to assigned patients
• Administer medications and treatments safely and accurately
• Monitor and record patient vital signs and changes in condition
• Document care clearly and promptly in the electronic health record
• Collaborate with nurses, providers and care teams to coordinate care
• Assist with patient admissions, discharges and transfers with professionalism
• Promote infection control and patient safety through best practices

Qualifications

• Current, active Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) license in good standing
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required or must obtain upon hire
• Comfortable working 12+ hour day shifts as part of per diem coverage
• Strong communication skills and a patient-centered attitude
• Previous experience in a clinical setting preferred but new grads are welcome to apply

Education

• Graduation from an accredited practical nursing program or equivalent LPN diploma

Knowledge & Skills

• Skilled in medication administration and basic nursing assessments
• Familiarity with electronic health records and accurate charting
• Good clinical judgment, time management and prioritization
• Ability to work collaboratively with interdisciplinary teams
• Knowledge of infection control, patient safety and basic wound care
