Roles & Responsibilities

• Provide compassionate direct patient care and assistance with activities of daily living (bathing, dressing, feeding)
• Assist nursing staff with safe patient transfers, ambulation, and mobility support
• Monitor and document patient status, observations, and vital signs accurately
• Support a clean, safe, and comfortable environment for patients and visitors
• Communicate clearly with nurses, therapists, and the care team about patient needs and changes
• Help with meal service and ensure dietary needs are met according to care plans
• Participate in unit routines and contribute to a positive, team-first culture

Qualifications

• Current Licensed Nursing Assistant (LNA) certification required
• Basic Life Support (BLS/CPR) certification preferred or willing to obtain
• Comfortable working 12+ hour day shifts when scheduled
• Current immunizations and ability to pass required health screenings and background checks
• Strong communication skills and a compassionate, patient-centered approach
• Ability to follow care plans, document accurately, and take direction from nursing staff

Education

• High school diploma or GED preferred
• Current LNA certification (required)

Knowledge & Skills

• Solid fundamentals in patient hygiene, toileting, feeding and mobility assistance
• Basic vital signs measurement and documentation skills
• Familiarity with infection control practices and safe patient handling
• Good time management and the ability to prioritize patient needs
• Teamwork mindset and willingness to support interdisciplinary care
