Shift Type: Varied day and evening shifts with an average of 3 call days per month; exact start/end times vary by schedule. Note: no guarantee of hours or time-off; traveler must arrive the Friday prior to a Monday start for HR/EH clearance
Candidate Pay Rate: $60 per hour

Roles & Responsibilities
- Perform high-quality radiographic exams and produce diagnostic images with precision
- Operate and maintain radiographic equipment such as Philips DR, Konica DR, and C-arms
- Ensure patient safety and comfort through proper positioning, communication, and care
- Adhere to radiation safety protocols and maintain required dosimeter usage
- Document procedures and enter imaging data accurately into the EMR (Meditech/Epic)
- Work independently and make sound decisions while collaborating with the care team
- Participate in call rotations as scheduled and be ready to support emergent imaging needs
- Support departmental quality assurance and equipment checks to ensure optimal performance
Qualifications
- Current State of Hawaii Radiologic Technologist license required (must have by start of assignment)
- Current ARRT certification required
- Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required
- Minimum of 2 years experience as a Radiologic Technologist
- Must possess or wear a dosimeter badge and follow radiation safety practices
- Able to travel to Hilo and arrive the Friday before assignment start for required clearances
Knowledge & Skills
- Proficiency with radiographic equipment operation and imaging protocols
- Experience with Philips DR, Philips C-arm, OEC C-arm, and Konica DR preferred
- Familiarity with Meditech and Epic electronic medical records
- Strong understanding of radiation safety and protection procedures
- Excellent patient positioning, communication, and infection control skills
- Ability to function independently and manage a variable caseload
