Roles & Responsibilities

• Provide skilled occupational therapy evaluations and develop individualized treatment plans
• Deliver evidence-based interventions to improve patients' independence and daily function
• Collaborate with nursing, physical therapy, speech therapy, and the interdisciplinary team to coordinate care
• Document patient assessments, progress, and outcomes clearly and timely in the medical record
• Educate patients and families on adaptive strategies, safety, and home programs
• Participate in weekend rotation to maintain continuity of care and coverage
• Contribute to quality improvement initiatives and patient-centered program development

Qualifications

• Licensed Occupational Therapist in Vermont or ability to obtain VT licensure
• Graduation from an accredited occupational therapy program
• Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification or willingness to obtain
• Strong clinical assessment, treatment planning, and documentation skills
• Excellent communication and teamwork skills with a patient-first mindset
• Ability to work daytime hours and participate in scheduled weekend rotation

Education

• Bachelor's or Master's degree in Occupational Therapy from an accredited program

Knowledge & Skills

• Proficient in occupational therapy assessments, ADL training, and adaptive equipment recommendations
• Experience with therapeutic activity planning and activity tolerance progression
• Familiarity with common documentation systems and outcomes tracking
• Skilled in patient and family education and discharge planning
• Ability to collaborate effectively with an interdisciplinary healthcare team
