Roles & Responsibilities

• Provide safe, high-quality patient care through thorough assessment and clinical judgment
• Administer medications, IV therapies, and treatments accurately and on schedule
• Coordinate care with multidisciplinary team members to create meaningful care plans
• Document patient status and interventions clearly in the electronic medical record
• Educate patients and families on care plans, medications, and discharge instructions
• Respond quickly and calmly to changes in patient condition and escalate concerns appropriately
• Support unit operations by mentoring team members and helping maintain a positive work environment

Qualifications

• Active Registered Nurse license valid in Maine
• Current BLS (Basic Life Support) certification; ACLS preferred or required by facility policies
• Ability to pass background check, drug screen, and required health screenings
• Comfortable with overnight/extended shifts and working independently when needed
• Prior acute care or relevant RN experience preferred

Education

• Associate Degree in Nursing (ADN) or Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN)

Knowledge & Skills

• Strong clinical assessment and critical thinking skills
• Medication administration and IV management experience
• Proficient with electronic medical records and accurate charting
• Excellent communication and teamwork abilities
• Time management, prioritization, and the ability to multitask in a fast-paced setting
