Roles & Responsibilities
- Assess and monitor patient conditions, spot changes early, and act decisively
- Administer medications and treatments safely and document every step
- Develop and implement individualized nursing care plans that make a difference
- Collaborate with physicians and the interdisciplinary team to coordinate care
- Educate patients and families so they feel confident managing care after discharge
- Maintain precise, timely documentation in the patient record and communicate handoffs clearly
Qualifications
- Active Registered Nurse (RN) license in Maryland required
- Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required; Advanced certifications (ACLS, PALS) a plus
- Comfortable working in a fast-paced clinical environment with strong prioritization skills
- Professional communication skills and a collaborative mindset
- Previous acute care or relevant clinical experience preferred
Education
- Associate Degree in Nursing (ADN) required; Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) preferred
Knowledge & Skills
- Strong clinical assessment and critical thinking skills
- Medication administration and IV therapy competence
- Proficiency with electronic medical records and accurate documentation
- Ability to prioritize workload and manage multiple patients safely
- Compassionate patient- and family-centered care approach
