Roles & Responsibilities

• Provide compassionate, skilled nursing care to assigned residents and patients during night shifts
• Administer medications and treatments accurately and document all care with clarity
• Monitor and record vital signs, detect changes in condition, and escalate concerns promptly
• Collaborate with the care team to follow care plans and support patient-centered goals
• Assist with activities of daily living and promote patient comfort, dignity, and safety
• Communicate effectively with families and interdisciplinary staff to coordinate excellent care
• Contribute to a positive unit culture by mentoring teammates and supporting handoffs

Qualifications

• Active Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) license in North Carolina
• Current BLS/CPR certification
• Comfortable working 12-hour night shifts and adapting to a rotating schedule
• Strong clinical judgment, attention to detail, and reliable documentation habits
• Professional attitude, excellent communication skills, and a team-first mindset

Education

• Practical Nursing diploma or equivalent (LPN) from an accredited program

Knowledge & Skills

• Skilled in medication administration and basic clinical assessments
• Knowledge of infection control practices and resident safety protocols
• Ability to recognize changes in patient status and take appropriate action
• Efficient time management during busy 12-hour shifts
• Strong interpersonal skills for working with patients, families, and the care team
