Roles & Responsibilities

• Provide compassionate, patient-centered nursing care in a family practice rural health clinic
• Perform thorough assessments and triage to identify patient needs and prioritize care
• Administer medications and treatments safely and document accurately
• Support preventive care and chronic disease management through education and follow-up
• Collaborate with providers and clinic staff to coordinate efficient patient flow
• Maintain clear, timely documentation in the clinic’s health record system
• Participate in quality improvement activities to enhance clinic services and patient outcomes

Qualifications

• Current Registered Nurse (RN) license in Wisconsin or eligibility to obtain licensure quickly
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required; additional certifications a plus
• Experience in family practice, primary care, or rural health clinic settings preferred
• Comfortable with medication administration, patient education, and routine clinic procedures
• Ability to start promptly and adapt to a quick-start contract engagement

Education

• Graduate of an accredited nursing program (ADN or BSN) required

Knowledge & Skills

• Strong patient assessment and triage skills for outpatient care
• Experience with chronic disease management (diabetes, hypertension, etc.)
• Immunization administration and preventive care knowledge
• Proficient clinical documentation and basic EHR navigation
• Excellent communication, teamwork, and patient education abilities
• Cultural sensitivity and comfort working in a rural community setting
