Roles & Responsibilities

• Perform screening and diagnostic mammography with professionalism and attention to detail
• Operate and optimize Hologic 3D and Hologic Affirm BX equipment for high-quality imaging
• Assist with stereotactic biopsy, needle localizations and fine needle aspiration procedures
• Document imaging and clinical notes accurately in Epic to support excellent patient care
• Follow isolation precautions and PPE guidelines to maintain a safe environment for patients and staff
• Provide compassionate patient education and positioning guidance to reduce anxiety and improve imaging outcomes
• Collaborate with radiologists and interdisciplinary teams for timely interpretation and follow-up
• Maintain equipment, perform quality control checks, and escalate technical issues appropriately

Qualifications

• Active CA state license for Radiologic Technologist
• ARRT certified; ARRT Advanced (mammography) required/preferred
• BLS certification required
• Minimum 1 year of relevant mammography/imaging experience
• Proficiency with Hologic 3D and Hologic Affirm BX considered a strong plus
• Experience charting in Epic or similar electronic health record systems

Knowledge & Skills

• Expertise in 3-D mammography, screening and diagnostic mammograms
• Skilled in stereotactic biopsy procedures, needle localizations and fine needle aspiration
• Familiarity with Hologic 3D and Hologic Affirm BX systems and imaging QA
• Strong patient positioning, safety and infection control practices
• Comfortable documenting accurately in Epic and communicating results to care teams
• Ability to work with adult and geriatric patient populations with empathy and efficiency
