Roles & Responsibilities

• Provide high-quality telemetry nursing care to assigned patients, monitoring cardiac rhythms and responding to changes
• Administer medications and treatments safely and accurately according to facility policies
• Perform focused assessments and escalate changes in patient condition to the care team promptly
• Document patient care, telemetry readings, and interventions clearly in the electronic health record
• Collaborate with RNs, physicians, and allied health staff to deliver coordinated care plans
• Support patient education and family communication to promote recovery and understanding
• Maintain a safe, clean, and organized patient environment while following infection control practices

Qualifications

• Current LPN or LVN license in good standing (or eligible to obtain Kentucky licensure)
• Minimum 2 years of clinical experience, with telemetry experience preferred
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required; ACLS preferred or encouraged
• Strong clinical assessment and telemetry interpretation skills
• Ability to work 12-hour day shifts and adapt to unit scheduling needs
• Pass background check and meet facility immunization/health requirements

Education

• Graduate of an accredited Practical Nursing (LPN/LVN) program; high school diploma or GED required

Knowledge & Skills

• Telemetry monitoring and recognition of arrhythmias
• Medication administration and documentation best practices
• Patient assessment, clinical observation, and reporting
• Proficiency with electronic health records and accurate charting
• Effective communication and teamwork in a fast-paced nursing environment
• Time management and prioritization during 12-hour shifts
