Roles & Responsibilities

• Provide excellent, patient-centered nursing care on a long-term acute care and medical-surgical telemetry unit
• Monitor telemetry and interpret cardiac rhythms to detect changes and escalate appropriately
• Administer medications, manage IV therapy, and maintain central/PICC/peripheral lines safely
• Manage ventilated patients, tracheostomy care, high flow oxygen devices, and perform ABG interpretation
• Support renal care including pre/post hemodialysis management and continuous bladder irrigation when needed
• Perform wound care and Wound Vac management, including care after debridement and amputations
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams — respiratory, PT, pharmacy, social services and more — to coordinate care
• Float within scope to meet facility needs and provide consistent, high-quality coverage

Qualifications

• Active Registered Nurse (RN) license for Washington state (pending licenses are not accepted)
• Minimum 3 years of clinical nursing experience, with recent telemetry or LTAC exposure preferred
• Travel nursing experience required for this role
• Experience with 1:5 patient ratios in med-surg/telemetry environments
• Epic charting experience (charting system required)
• Comfort managing ventilators, tracheostomies, hemodialysis patients and interpreting ABGs
• Ability to float within like units and accept on-call duties when scheduled
• BLS and ACLS certifications preferred; facility-specific certification expectations will be confirmed during onboarding

• Ventilator management and tracheostomy care
• Hemodialysis support, pre/post dialysis care and renal failure management
• Arterial line, central line and PICC line management
• Arterial blood gas (ABG) interpretation and oxygen therapy
• Wound care and Wound Vac management
• High Flow Nasal Cannula (HFNC) and chest tube management
• Feeding tube care, PCA management, and titration of cardiac/vasoactive drips
• Isolation precautions and PPE best practices
