Roles & Responsibilities

• Perform and process portable X-rays using digital DR or computed CR equipment and transmit images to the Radiologist for timely interpretation
• Unload, transport, and set up portable X-ray equipment in nursing homes and care facilities to deliver on-site diagnostic imaging
• Obtain clinically diagnostic, technically competent images through precise patient positioning and exam technique
• Perform EKGs when required and transmit to a Cardiologist for interpretation
• Scan and submit exam-related paperwork and billing documents daily, following protocol
• Maintain clear, professional communication with dispatch, management, facility staff, patients, and peers
• Perform routine vehicle and equipment maintenance to ensure safety and reliability
• Follow safety protocols and uphold patient dignity and confidentiality at every visit

Qualifications

• ARRT certification — REQUIRED
• Active Driver's License — REQUIRED
• Proven experience with portable radiography (DR/CR) and digital image transmission
• Comfort and ability to push/pull up to 50–100 lbs while safely handling portable equipment
• Experience performing and transmitting EKGs (as needed)
• Professional communication skills and ability to interact courteously with patients and facility staff
• Note: Limited licenses not accepted

Education

• ARRT certification (required)

Knowledge & Skills

• Portable digital (DR) and computed (CR) radiography operation
• Digital image processing and secure transmission to Radiologists/Cardiologists
• Patient positioning and techniques for diagnostic image acquisition
• EKG acquisition and transmission workflow
• Familiarity with daily documentation, scanning procedures, and billing paperwork
• Vehicle and portable equipment upkeep and troubleshooting
• Strong interpersonal skills and clear communication with dispatch and facility teams
