Roles & Responsibilities

• Provide high-quality mobile X-ray and EKG services to nursing homes and healthcare facilities
• Operate portable digital (DR) and computed (CR) radiography equipment and produce diagnostically sound images
• Unload, set up, and transport portable X-ray equipment into patient rooms and facilities safely
• Transmit X-ray images to Radiologists and EKGs to Cardiologists for timely interpretation
• Scan and submit exam-related paperwork daily following protocol
• Communicate regularly and professionally with dispatch, facility staff, and management
• Maintain vehicle and imaging equipment to ensure reliable, safe service delivery
• Deliver compassionate, patient-centered care in post-acute and long-term care settings

Qualifications

• ARRT certification (required)
• Active driver’s license (required) and comfort driving to multiple facilities
• Experience with portable/mobile radiography, DR and/or CR systems
• Ability to perform and transmit EKGs when needed
• Comfort with patient handling and ability to assist with moving/positioning equipment (able to push/pull equipment up to 50–100 lbs periodically)
• Strong communication skills for interacting with patients, clinicians, and dispatch

Education

• Associate degree or certificate in Radiologic Technology or related field preferred
• ARRT registration required

Knowledge & Skills

• Proficiency with portable digital radiography (DR) and computed radiography (CR)
• Familiarity with mobile/portable X-ray operation and image acquisition best practices
• Skill in EKG performance and secure transmission to cardiology providers
• Experience transmitting images and paperwork to Radiologists/Cardiologists
• Good documentation habits and basic scanning/filing workflows
• Time management and route planning for efficient mobile service delivery
• Vehicle and basic equipment maintenance awareness
