Roles & Responsibilities

• Provide compassionate, hands-on care to residents including bathing, grooming, and mobility assistance
• Take and record vital signs and observe residents for changes in condition
• Assist with meals and follow dietary guidance while respecting resident preferences
• Document care accurately and communicate observations to the nursing team
• Support safe, dignified transfers and mobility to reduce fall risk
• Collaborate with nurses and interdisciplinary team members to support resident-centered care
• Maintain infection control standards and keep resident spaces clean and safe

Qualifications

• Active LNA (Licensed Nursing Assistant) certification (NH or VT licensure accepted/preferred)
• Current CPR/BLS certification or willingness to obtain upon hire
• Comfortable providing hands-on patient care and assisting with activities of daily living
• Ability to pass background check and drug screen as required by facility
• Previous experience in long-term care or similar settings preferred but new grads with strong skills are welcome to apply

Knowledge & Skills

• Proficient in taking and recording vital signs and basic clinical observations
• Skilled at assisting with ADLs (bathing, dressing, feeding, toileting, transfers)
• Strong communication and teamwork skills to coordinate with nurses and care staff
• Familiarity with infection prevention and safe patient handling techniques
• Basic charting and documentation practices, with willingness to learn facility EHR
