Roles & Responsibilities

• Provide compassionate hands-on care and assistance with activities of daily living
• Monitor and record patient vital signs and report changes to nursing staff
• Assist with safe transfers, ambulation, and mobility to promote independence
• Document care accurately and timely in the patient record
• Collaborate with nurses and interdisciplinary team members to support patient goals
• Maintain a clean, safe environment and follow infection prevention practices
• Support resident dignity and comfort through respectful, person-centered care

Qualifications

• Active LNA (Licensed Nursing Assistant) certification required
• Completion of an approved nurse aide training program
• Current CPR/BLS certification is preferred
• Ability to pass facility background checks and health screenings
• Compassionate, reliable, and team-oriented with strong communication skills

Education

• High school diploma or GED
• Successful completion of an approved LNA nurse aide training program

Knowledge & Skills

• Skilled in assisting with ADLs, transfers, and basic patient care
• Comfortable taking and reporting vital signs and observations
• Familiarity with infection control and safety protocols
• Basic documentation skills; able to learn electronic charting systems
• Strong interpersonal skills and a patient-first attitude
