Roles & Responsibilities

• Provide compassionate hands-on care and assist patients with activities of daily living
• Monitor and record vital signs, reporting any changes promptly to the nursing team
• Support mobility, bathing, feeding and personal hygiene to preserve patient dignity
• Assist with safe patient transfers and positioning to prevent injury
• Maintain accurate documentation and communicate effectively with interdisciplinary staff
• Follow infection control and facility safety protocols to protect patients and staff
• Contribute to a positive patient experience through friendly, respectful interactions

Qualifications

• Active LNA (Licensed Nursing Assistant) certification for NH or VT, or ability to obtain prior to start
• Current CPR/BLS certification preferred or willing to obtain
• Previous experience in long-term care or acute care is a plus but caring attitude and reliability matter most
• Ability to pass background check and drug screen
• Strong communication skills and a team-first mindset

Education

• High school diploma or equivalent and completion of a state-approved LNA program

Knowledge & Skills

• Proficient with basic nursing care tasks and ADLs
• Skilled in taking and documenting vital signs accurately
• Knowledge of infection control practices and patient safety measures
• Good observational skills and ability to escalate concerns appropriately
• Compassionate bedside manner and strong teamwork/collaboration abilities
