Roles & Responsibilities

• Assist patients with activities of daily living including bathing, dressing, and grooming to preserve dignity and comfort
• Take and record vital signs accurately and report changes to the nursing team
• Support safe transfers and mobility, using proper body mechanics and assistive devices
• Provide compassionate, patient-centered care and emotional support to residents
• Document care activities and observations clearly in the patient record
• Collaborate with nurses and interdisciplinary staff to implement care plans effectively
• Follow infection control and safety protocols to maintain a clean, safe environment

Qualifications

• Active Licensed Nursing Assistant (LNA) credential (VT or NH licensure indicated by job title)
• Willingness to work day shifts and cover every other weekend as required
• Comfortable working in a long-term care or skilled nursing environment
• Reliable, professional, and able to communicate effectively with patients and team members

Knowledge & Skills

• Strong patient care and bedside skills
• Accurate vital sign measurement and basic clinical observations
• Good documentation and basic charting abilities
• Patient safety, infection control, and safe transfer techniques
• Teamwork, communication, and a positive attitude under pressure
