Roles & Responsibilities
- Lead and deliver engaging nursing education and competency training for frontline staff
- Design, implement, and evaluate educational programs that improve patient care
- Coach and mentor nursing staff to build clinical confidence and best practices
- Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to align education with clinical goals
- Support infection prevention initiatives and help reduce healthcare-associated risks
- Assess learning needs, document outcomes, and report on quality improvement efforts
- Assist with onboarding of new staff and travelers to ensure safe, consistent care
Qualifications
- Active Registered Nurse licensure appropriate for practice in New Hampshire (or compact license eligibility)
- BLS (Basic Life Support) certification required
- Experience in clinical nursing with additional practice or interest in nurse education
- Background in infection prevention is a plus or demonstrated willingness to learn
- Strong presentation, coaching, and documentation skills
- Ability to pass facility onboarding requirements, background checks, and health screenings
Education
- Active RN license required
- Associate Degree in Nursing (ADN) or Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) preferred
Knowledge & Skills
- Adult learning principles and instructional design for clinical settings
- Infection prevention best practices and standard precautions
- Clinical assessment, documentation, and competency evaluation
- Excellent verbal and written communication, presentation, and facilitation skills
- Comfortable using electronic health records and documenting education activities
- Ability to translate data into actionable quality improvement plans
