Roles & Responsibilities

• Provide compassionate, professional nursing care to assigned patients during the night shift
• Perform thorough patient assessments and document changes in condition accurately
• Administer medications and treatments safely and in line with facility protocols
• Collaborate with the interdisciplinary team to create and execute patient care plans
• Educate patients and families about treatments, medications, and discharge instructions
• Maintain infection control practices and a safe environment for patients and staff
• Respond quickly and effectively to emergencies and escalating patient needs

Qualifications

• Active LPN or RN license appropriate for practice in New Mexico (or multi-state compact RN license if applicable)
• Current BLS (Basic Life Support) certification required; ACLS preferred for some roles
• Recent clinical experience in a comparable acute care or long-term care setting
• Strong clinical judgment, reliable documentation skills, and ability to work independently on night shift
• Willingness to complete facility onboarding and required health screenings promptly

Education

• LPN: Graduate of an accredited Practical Nursing program
• RN: Associate Degree in Nursing (ADN) or Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN)

Knowledge & Skills

• Proficient in medication administration and IV/clinical procedures relevant to your license
• Solid patient assessment and critical thinking skills during overnight hours
• Comfortable with electronic medical record documentation and shift handoffs
• Excellent communication and teamwork with physicians, nurses, and support staff
• Time management and prioritization skills to manage a busy night caseload
