Roles & Responsibilities

• Provide skilled physical therapy evaluations and develop patient-centered treatment plans
• Deliver hands-on interventions and progressive therapeutic exercise to improve mobility and function
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary team members to coordinate high-quality care
• Document assessments, goals and progress clearly and timely in the patient record
• Educate patients and families on safe techniques, home exercise programs and discharge plans
• Participate in quality improvement efforts and contribute ideas to enhance patient outcomes

Qualifications

• Current license to practice as a Physical Therapist in Mississippi or ability to obtain state licensure prior to start
• Doctor of Physical Therapy (DPT) preferred; Master’s in Physical Therapy or equivalent considered
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required; additional certifications a plus
• Clinical experience in inpatient or rehabilitation settings preferred, ideally 1+ year
• Strong documentation skills and comfort with electronic medical records

Education

• Doctor of Physical Therapy (DPT) preferred; Master of Physical Therapy or equivalent accepted

Knowledge & Skills

• Skilled in therapeutic exercise, manual therapy and functional mobility training
• Ability to assess neurological and orthopedic impairments and set measurable goals
• Solid knowledge of safe patient handling techniques and assistive devices
• Effective communication and patient education skills
• Time management and ability to prioritize caseloads while maintaining quality care
