Roles & Responsibilities
- Conduct comprehensive psychological assessments and create clear, actionable treatment plans
- Provide individual, group, and family therapy focused on mental health and substance abuse recovery
- Deliver evidence-based interventions and monitor clinical progress
- Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to coordinate care and ensure continuity
- Document clinical encounters and treatment updates accurately and timely
- Participate in case reviews, staffing, and quality improvement initiatives
- Support a therapeutic environment that emphasizes safety, respect, and rehabilitation
Qualifications
- Licensed Psychologist in California or active CA-eligible license
- Or Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist (LMFT) or Licensed Professional Clinical Counselor (LPCC) in CA
- Experience in mental health and substance abuse treatment, preferably in correctional or forensic settings
- Strong clinical assessment and documentation skills
- Ability to pass background checks and meet facility credentialing requirements
- Excellent communication skills and the ability to work collaboratively
Education
- Doctoral degree in Psychology (PhD/PsyD) for Psychologist roles
- Master's degree with required clinical training for LMFT or LPCC candidates
Knowledge & Skills
- Assessment and diagnosis of mental health and substance use disorders
- Individual, group, and family therapy techniques
- Crisis intervention and de-escalation strategies
- Familiarity with forensic/correctional mental health practices
- Treatment planning, progress measurement, and outcome-driven care
- Cultural competence and trauma-informed care approaches
