Roles & Responsibilities

• Provide psychiatric evaluations, medication management, and follow-up care for EOP participants
• Develop and implement individualized treatment plans that promote recovery and stability
• Collaborate closely with psychologists, social workers, nursing staff, and corrections personnel
• Lead clinical sessions, case reviews, and contribute to program development for the EOP
• Maintain clear, timely, and accurate clinical documentation and treatment records
• Participate in orientation, training, and quality improvement initiatives to strengthen care delivery

Qualifications

• MD or DO degree with completed residency in Psychiatry
• Active California medical license (or ability to obtain prior to start)
• Board certification or board eligibility in Psychiatry preferred
• DEA registration or ability to obtain prior to clinical duties
• Experience in outpatient psychiatric care; experience with Enhanced Outpatient Programs or correctional psychiatry is a strong plus
• Willingness to complete required facility onboarding and background checks

Education

• MD or DO (Psychiatry residency completed)
• Board certification in Psychiatry preferred

Knowledge & Skills

• Strong diagnostic skills and evidence-based psychopharmacology knowledge
• Experience with treatment planning for serious mental illness and co-occurring conditions
• Comfort working within a multidisciplinary team in a structured correctional healthcare environment
• Excellent clinical documentation and communication skills
• Ability to prioritize patient safety and deliver compassionate, pragmatic care
