Roles & Responsibilities
- Perform and document routine and advanced quality assurance on radiation therapy equipment to ensure safe, accurate treatments
- Collaborate with radiation oncologists, dosimetrists, and therapists to support treatment planning and patient-specific QA
- Calibrate and commission linear accelerators and other treatment devices following institutional and regulatory standards
- Review treatment plans and dosimetry to verify prescription conformity and patient safety
- Maintain and manage physics records, policies, and procedures using EPIC/ARIA and shared departmental drives
- Participate in equipment acceptance testing, troubleshooting, and performance improvement initiatives
- Support training and mentorship of clinical staff and contribute to multidisciplinary case discussions
Qualifications
- ABR certification required
- Active state license/certification verification (per facility requirements)
- Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required
- Experience with EPIC and ARIA RadOnc required
- Familiarity with SHARE DRIVE and CTC-RadOnc preferred
- Completion of pre-employment requirements: fit test, drug screen, immunizations and health screenings as listed
- Strong communication and teamwork skills in a fast-paced radiation oncology environment
Knowledge & Skills
- Deep knowledge of medical physics principles and radiation oncology workflows
- Proficiency in treatment planning systems and dosimetry review
- Experience with linear accelerator QA, commissioning, and calibration
- Working familiarity with EPIC/ARIA RadOnc integration and clinical documentation
- Competence with departmental shared drives and documentation systems
- Ability to perform and interpret QA tests and produce clear, actionable reports
- Comfortable with regulatory compliance, safety protocols, and patient-centered care
