Roles & Responsibilities

• Operate CT equipment to produce high-quality diagnostic images that directly impact patient care
• Position patients safely and compassionately, ensuring comfort and clear communication throughout the exam
• Follow established protocols and safety standards, including radiation safety and infection control
• Collaborate with radiologists and the care team to review imaging needs and provide timely results
• Maintain accurate patient records, documentation, and assist with required credential verification
• Perform routine quality checks and report any equipment or supply issues to keep the department running smoothly
• Participate in mandatory testing and health verifications to meet facility requirements

Qualifications

• ARRT (R)(CT) registration required
• BLS certification required
• Current state license/certification as applicable and successful license verification
• Completion of Trinity Skills Checklist and required onboarding checks (drug screen, fit test, immunizations)
• Demonstrated ability to operate CT scanners and follow imaging protocols
• Comfortable working independently on weekend shifts and providing patient-centered care
• Preferred: prior CT experience in a hospital or outpatient setting

Education

• Graduate of an accredited Radiologic Technology or CT program
• Associates degree in Radiologic Technology preferred but not always required if ARRT certified

Knowledge & Skills

• Strong knowledge of CT physics, cross-sectional anatomy, and imaging protocols
• Skilled in patient positioning, IV contrast administration protocols awareness, and scanning techniques
• Competent with PACS and basic imaging documentation workflows
• Excellent patient communication and customer service skills, especially with diverse populations
• Attention to detail for maintaining image quality and accurate records
• Ability to follow infection control, radiation safety, and facility policies
