Roles & Responsibilities
- Operate CT equipment to capture high-quality diagnostic images that directly impact patient care
- Position patients safely and comfortably while explaining procedures to reduce anxiety
- Adhere to radiation safety protocols and maintain strict infection control practices
- Collaborate with radiologists and clinical teams to ensure accurate imaging and timely results
- Complete required documentation, quality checks, and Trinity specialty competency testing
- Maintain equipment cleanliness and report any technical or safety issues promptly
- Support patient screening and verification processes including required immunizations and health checks
Qualifications
- Current state radiology technologist license or certification as required by Iowa (License/Certificate Verification required)
- BLS certification (listed as required)
- Proven experience or training in CT imaging (CT listed as core skill)
- Successful completion of Trinity Specialty Specific Competency Testing and Trinity Skills Checklist
- Compliance with facility health requirements such as COVID-19 vaccination, TB screening, MMR, Hepatitis B, Tdap, Varicella and drug screen
- Ability to pass required fit test and Trinity color vision testing
Knowledge & Skills
- Strong knowledge of CT imaging protocols and cross-sectional anatomy
- Proficient patient positioning and contrast administration awareness
- Familiarity with PACS and image archiving workflows
- Excellent patient communication and compassionate care skills
- Attention to detail for documentation and quality assurance
- Ability to follow safety procedures and operate within radiation protection guidelines
