Roles & Responsibilities

• Prepare operating rooms by assembling instruments, supplies, and sterile drapes
• Maintain a sterile field and adhere to infection control protocols throughout procedures
• Assist surgeons and perioperative staff by passing instruments and anticipating procedural needs
• Perform counts of sponges, needles, and instruments and document accurately
• Break down and restock the OR after cases, ensuring readiness for the next patient
• Communicate effectively with the surgical team to support patient safety and positive outcomes

Qualifications

• Certification as a Scrub Tech (required)
• Current state credentials and ability to work in Montana
• Comfortable working a 4x10 day schedule with rotating weekend on-call
• Strong attention to detail and commitment to sterile technique
• Team player with good communication skills; dependable and professional

Knowledge & Skills

• Excellent knowledge of sterile technique and OR infection prevention
• Familiarity with common surgical instruments and procedural workflows
• Ability to perform accurate instrument and sponge counts
• Strong situational awareness and the ability to anticipate surgical team needs
• Good documentation habits and adherence to hospital policies
