Contract Type: Travel Contract
Shift Type: Rotating day shifts, 5 days per week (8-hour shifts). Start times rotate week-over-week and include: 6:00 AM - 2:00 PM; 7:30 AM - 3:30 PM; 8:00 AM - 4:00 PM; 9:30 AM - 5:30 PM. Call required.
Hours per Week: 40
Candidate Pay Rate: $71 per hour

Roles & Responsibilities
- Operate MRI equipment safely and effectively to acquire high-quality diagnostic images
- Position and prepare patients for MRI exams, ensuring comfort and explaining procedures clearly
- Apply MRI safety protocols, screen patients and implants, and enforce MR-safe practices
- Perform routine quality control checks and document equipment performance
- Collaborate with technologists, radiologists and care teams to support fast, accurate diagnoses
- Maintain accurate patient records, image documentation, and PACS/EMR entries
- Respond professionally to on-call notifications and assist with urgent imaging needs
Qualifications
- Current ARRT (MR) or equivalent credential required
- Current unencumbered Oregon MRI license required upon submission
- Healthcare Provider BLS certification required
- ARRT (RT) Radiography credential preferred but not required
- Prior hospital experience preferred and helpful for a smooth transition
- Comfortable working rotating day shifts and participating in an on-call rotation
Education
- Completion of an accredited MRI or radiologic technology program
- ARRT (MR) certification required
Knowledge & Skills
- Strong knowledge of MRI physics, sequences and safety practices
- Proficiency with PACS and electronic medical record systems
- Patient-centered skills: clear communication, positioning and care
- Ability to perform routine MRI equipment quality assurance
- Familiarity with cross-sectional anatomy and imaging protocols
