Shift Type: Monday-Friday, 7:00 AM - 3:00 PM or 11:00 AM - 7:00 PM (Day shift). 5x8 schedule, no calls or weekends.

Candidate Pay Rate: $61 per hour

Roles & Responsibilities
- Prepare and maintain a sterile field for surgical procedures to protect patient safety
- Pass instruments and supplies to the surgical team efficiently and accurately
- Set up operating room equipment and ensure everything is functioning before incision
- Anticipate surgeon needs during procedures and manage instrumentation changes
- Perform counts with the team to ensure no items are retained post-procedure
- Collaborate closely with nurses and surgeons to support smooth, timely cases
- Adhere to infection control policies and contribute to a culture of patient safety
Qualifications
- Surgical Technologist Certification (CST) is required
- Proven experience working in the Operating Room as a scrub tech (experience level preferred but not strictly specified)
- Ability to work scheduled day shifts with variable start times (7:00 AM or 11:00 AM)
- Successful completion of facility credentialing, background check, and required onboarding
Education
- Graduation from an accredited surgical technologist program or equivalent training
- CST certification required
Knowledge & Skills
- Expertise in sterile technique, instrument handling, and OR protocols
- Familiarity with surgical instrumentation and procedure-specific trays
- Strong communication and teamwork skills in high-pressure settings
- Attention to detail for accurate counts and documentation
- Ability to adapt to variable start times and a fast-paced surgical schedule
