Shift Type: Rotating nights (schedule varies by staffing), 7:00 PM - 7:00 AM, Night shift; full-time 36 hours/week, may include on-call and shift rotations

Candidate Pay Rate: $83 per hour

Roles & Responsibilities
- Assess and monitor women in labor from admission through delivery, ensuring safe care every step of the way
- Provide hands-on delivery assistance and immediate newborn care, including neonatal resuscitation when needed
- Prepare and maintain the delivery room and sterile field for vaginal births, inductions, and C-sections
- Administer IV medications and manage postpartum care with accurate, timely documentation
- Coordinate timely transfers and collaborate with the New Beginnings BirthCenter Manager and interdisciplinary team
- Deliver patient education and emotional support to patients and families during a very important life event
- Follow infection control and sterile technique principles to protect mothers, infants, and staff
Qualifications
- Current Colorado RN license required
- Graduate of an accredited RN program (RN) and active RN status
- Current CPR certification required
- Neonatal Resuscitation Program (NRP) certification and ACLS to be obtained within one year of employment
- Prefer 4 years of obstetrics experience or demonstrated competency in labor and delivery
- Able to stand for long periods, perform heavy lifting, and tolerate exposure to blood and body fluids
- Strong communication skills and ability to perform effectively in high-stress situations
- Willingness to participate in on-call rotations
Education
- RN graduate from an accredited nursing program with current Colorado licensure
Knowledge & Skills
- Labor monitoring and patient assessment
- Delivery assistance and postpartum nursing care
- Newborn and infant care, including resuscitation basics
- IV medication administration and accurate nursing documentation
- Sterile technique and infection control practices
- Preparing delivery rooms and coordinating transfers
- Comfort working under pressure and strong interpersonal communication
- Familiarity or interest in obstetrics equipment and procedures
